The Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Partnership Sales, to join our team based in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
In this sales-focused role, the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting revenue targets for AFC Competitions.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Partnership Sales
A track record of selling sponsorship in the GCC region with premium sports/entertainment events, preferably as a rights holder
A database of customers/prospects that can immediately be engaged to hit the ground running
The ability to engage, follow up, negotiate, and contract sponsorship deals with brands
The ability to create and amend sales decks and tailor each proposal to the brand, having researched their needs and business goals to create a partnership fit based on a sales narrative
An ability to build, through prospecting, a target list based on market research and knowledge
Be aware of market trends and an understanding of current events in the industry
Experience managing a sales pipeline and sales CRM
Assist account management team with onboarding clients
Assist VP Partnership Sales with the broader sales pipeline
Weekly sales reporting
Experience
4+ years of experience in sales in sponsorship within sports/entertainment is a must, with a proven track record of successful sales in the Middle East required
Understanding the GCC market and the relevant brands with senior-level contacts within those entities is essential
Skills
Excellent communication skills (spoken & written)
Arabic (spoken & written) is not required however is a plus
The ability to build strong partnerships and maintain relationships
Strong negotiation skills, the ability to influence and drive growth, expertise in creating partnerships
The ability to problem solve and create solutions on the fly
Computer Skills
The ability to create high-quality sales materials using PowerPoint
Proficiency in MS Office
