JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, International Communications DEPARTMENT: International Communications ORGANIZATION: Dubai Corporation of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM)
JOB OBJECTIVE:
Create a cohesive approach to the communications and PR activities of Dubai Tourism’s international target markets and to ensure the effective delivery of PR campaigns and activities, positioning Dubai as a leading tourism and commerce destination
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Functional Responsibilities:
Lead the development of public relations and communications strategy in alignment with overall DCTCM marketing strategy
Manage the implementation of yearly PR and communications plan including identification of key media stakeholders and potential partners per market
Deliver timely and useful tools, information and content to ensure effective delivery of stories, communications and news-flow
Lead and manage familiarization trips for media
Lead and manage broadcast trips
Identify, lead and manage content partnerships, collaborations and other engagement platforms to ensure messaging cut through
Conduct meetings and facilitate interview opportunities with target media during roadshows and events
Oversee media monitoring activities to monitor mentions of Dubai and identify any potential media-related crises
Oversee media relations, tailored pitching programme and ensure that requests are responded to in accordance with Dubai Tourism standards
Manage PR campaign performance related reports
Drive the selection of third-party providers and agencies for Dubai Tourism’s PR & Communications needs
Induct and manage country-specific agencies, developing their understanding of the destination, and enabling them to become in-market PR representatives of Dubai
Collaborate with 360 teams to integrate activities where relevant within the realm of PR
Cultivate relationships with Dubai stakeholders, including and not limited to hotels, attractions, events that are relevant to key markets
Managerial Responsibilities:
Contribute to setting the department’s operational plans and ensure the cascading of such to the employees’ individual objectives. Monitor performance and issue periodic reports that reflect the overall performance to continually measure overall section's and individual performance against set objectives. Provide formal and informal feedback to optimize the team's performance
Provide insight on the development of the section's talent capabilities through proactively assessing existing talent gaps, and providing recommendation to advance the existing skill base
Participate in the development and implementation of section's policies and procedures to ensure full adherence to organization's operational standards
Other Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all relevant environment, health and safety policies and procedures to foster a culture of attention to health and safety that complies with the standards of DTCM
Ensure adherence to all DTCM Code of Conduct clauses to ensure a positive office environment that fosters respect, professionalism, happiness and transparency. Lead by example and ensure any acts of in compliance with DTCM code are addressed appropriately
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality by practicing information security protocols and remain abreast on new threats, risks, or breaches of security that can jeopardize own or other colleague's security and confidentiality
Comply with and abide by all applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, standards and directives of DTCM and any of its subordinated entities, as may be amended from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:
University/College Degree in a related field
Minimum Experience:
8+ Years of relevant experience; 2 years of which in a managerial position
Working Conditions:
Frequent offsite meetings and visits
Occasional travel within UAE and overseas
