Position Overview
Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Manager - Direct Tax to oversee group-wide tax operations and compliance across multiple markets. Based in Dubai, this role will support the Tax Operations Director and coordinate with regional and global teams to ensure compliance with corporate tax laws, Zakat, and transfer pricing across the GCC and beyond. The position plays a key role in tax governance, audit support, and technology-led process improvements for one of the region's most respected conglomerates.

Job Overview
As the Senior Manager - Direct Tax, you will be responsible for tax compliance, audit readiness, and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. You will manage end-to-end processes in collaboration with in-country teams, shared services in Egypt, and the Group's central finance and M&A divisions. Your expertise in tax strategy, regulatory interpretation, and process optimization will directly support financial transparency and value creation.
What You'll Do

• Oversee Corporate Tax and Zakat compliance for the GCC region, including registrations, return filings, payments, and refunds
• Liaise with shared services in Egypt and regional teams to drive accurate and efficient tax filings and audit support
• Review and maintain compliance with ESR, FATCA, CRS, and similar reporting obligations
• Manage Transfer Pricing documentation including master/local files, intercompany agreements, and benchmarking studies
• Lead risk assessment, control implementation, and tax audit management across operational entities
• Represent the tax function in investment and risk committees, offering guidance on M&A transactions and cross-border structuring
• Develop compliance dashboards, monthly reports, and strategic recommendations for CFOs and executive stakeholders
• Identify and implement tax automation opportunities to improve accuracy and reporting efficiency
• Train and mentor junior tax professionals; contribute to succession planning and knowledge sharing across teams
• Stay informed of evolving tax laws and regulations across UAE, KSA, and other active regions

Ideal Profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA, or ICAEW) with a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• At least 8 years of experience in tax operations or advisory, ideally from Big 4 consulting and/or large regional organizations
• Strong command of Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, Withholding Tax, and international tax frameworks
• Experience with tax compliance across GCC, Africa, Levant, and Central Asia is highly valued
• Hands-on experience managing tax audits and dealing with authorities like SCA, FTA, and other GCC tax bodies
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across borders
• Proven ability to balance compliance, value creation, and operational efficiency using technology tools
