Synopsis
The Senior Manager - Digital Engineering Systems is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the development, implementation, and optimization of digital platforms that supports Etihad Airways Technical's engineering and maintenance operations. The role focuses on end-to-end management of the digital eco system, with AMOS (Swiss Aviation Software) at its core, & ensuring all implemented processes align with Etihad Airways Technical's approach to digitization. The role ensures digital engineering eco systems delivers regulatory adherence to GCAA CARM & CAR 145 airlines functions, improve compliance control, enhance process efficiency, strengthens operational stability and promotes financial transparency, by leveraging latest technology trends, innovation strategies, and proven industry best practices & supporting Etihad Airways' broader digital transformation journey.
Accountabilities

• Ensure digital engineering systems support compliance with airworthiness regulations and internal safety management systems.
• Contribute to the broader digital transformation strategy across Engineering & Maintenance operations by leading the management and optimization of Digital engineering systems, ensuring seamless integration of the Compliance, Efficiency, and Finance modules.
• Identify emerging digital trends (AI, predictive maintenance, blockchain, etc...) for potential integration into existing platforms.
• Manage digital projects, budgets, vendors, and timelines, ensuring delivery within scope and quality standards.
• Ensure AMOS configurations and workflows are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA, GCAA, FAA).
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering & Maintenance, Finance, Procurement, DTI, and OEMs to align digital strategies.
• Ensure effective interfaces with the digital engineering ecosystem are established to ensure Compliance, Efficiency, and Financial governance
• Support development of super users, key users, end users training programme, support, and system documentation to ensure user adoption and competence.
• Present regular updates to senior leadership on system performance, risks, and transformation roadmap.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in airline engineering & maintenance
• Strong analytical skills & project management expertise.
• Experiences in project management tools & software, bringing practical industry experience to guide users to implement digital engineering systems in the best possible way.
• Strong interpersonal & social competence to lead & motivate the staff.
