The opportunity

EY\'s Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice provides risk management support to banks, insurers, and asset managers. Our team includes individuals who have industry, client, and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals. We are seeking agile individuals to join our team. Along with our team, you\'ll work together to coordinate the delivery of risk management, regulatory and business performance services to a variety of clients, including commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, insurance and energy trading companies, and other organizations.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Financial Crime Compliance team by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff to ensure maximum performance.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfProvide guidance and oversight to all the respective workstream leads for expected performance and delivery.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfAct as a SME for first line of defence and FCC teams, as an advisor! on any related issues/queries
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfMaintaining the team capacity in all the workstreams as agreed with Compliance Department.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsure that the workstreams are complying with the Bank\'s policies, procedures, and processes.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfManaging the deliverables by providing required support, oversight, and monitoring together with the Head of Compliance. Review weekly MI reporting and ensure on-going oversight of the evolving risks in UAE and in the international jurisdictions to Head of FCC, and Head of Compliance.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfManage and discuss any critical issues with all the respective leads on an ongoing basis.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfConduct trainings on InfoSec and privacy policies to the offshore team and ensure adherence.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsure all the workstreams are meeting the agreed timelines and are in accordance with the SLAs.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfManage escalations to ensure timely resolution of issues, In accordance with the agreed SLA\'s.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfEnsure all FCC team members participate and complete all role based and mandatory trainings.
• \xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbfKeep abreast of related laws, regulations, and best practices pertaining to FCC and assess its impact on client

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor\'s/Master\'s Degree in Law, Science, Finance, Business, or a related subject. ACAMS certification or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in Banking, Compliance or Risk is an advantage
• Good knowledge and experience of FCC procedures and systems Knowledge in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and pivot table is desirable
• Experience in advising or working in a compliance function with a focus on governance and delivering overall compliance framework
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with impact, build healthy professional relationships, influence outcomes, simplify complex topics into actionable recommendations for decision-making
• Relationship building and Strong interpersonal skills
• Sound judgment
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
