Senior Manager - Aviation Business Analysis
The Strategy group maps out where we're going, what that means, and what it looks like. Our Research team analyses the industry so that we're never playing catch-up and have an insight to expected trends and passenger forecasts. The group translate strategies into plans and projects. Research are responsible for the overall airport capacity for both DXB and DWC, this includes seasonal capacity declaration through to long term future capacity requirements based on insights from the Forecasting team. The wider Strategy and Development group creates the strategy so that we're agile enough to respond in a fast-evolving industry.
What you'll deliver
You'll be responsible for providing robust forecasts - short, medium and long term, along with supporting analysis
You'll be responsible for the development of analysis and recommendations based on the forecasts considering various time increment elements including daily and peak periods to inform operations and other airport stakeholders on demand trends.
You'll lead various forecasting and traffic modelling elements, including acquisition of flight level and data from airline users at the airport, ensuring data integrity, adoption into the forecast, as well as develop suitable and sounds forecasting methodologies
You will lead the advancement and development of traffic data modelling, traffic segmentation, and forecasting techniques using latest available tools, platforms, and technology, while cognizant of the requirements of downstream and upstream stakeholders, both internal and external.
Responsible for tracking the accuracy of the forecast, through dashboards and other techniques, and drive continuous necessary improvements.
What you bring
You'll be educated to Degree level in a relevant business discipline such as Business Analytics, Statistics, Operational research or related.
You'll have comprehensive experience within the Aviation industry
You'll have knowledge and hands on experience in traffic and tactical forecasting as well as data analysis and modelling skills.
You'll have thorough knowledge and experience in machine learning, statistics and tools including SQL, Tableau, Alteryx and Python.
