The
AMC
serves as the central hub for three key functions:
Operations Planning:
Leading integrated operational planning and performance analysis to achieve target Levels of Service (LOS) across all ADA airports.
Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC):
Managing day-of-operations from a 24/7 control room co-located with ground handlers, control authorities, airlines, and emergency services.
Operations Data & Analytics:
Ensuring operational data quality management and developing AMC reporting, analytics, and tools.
The Senior Manager - AOCC drives the performance of duty teams and coordinates with leadership across operational departments and stakeholders. The initial focus will be on
Zayed International Airport (AUH)
operations, with potential expansion to other ADA airports in the future.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Lead Abu Dhabi Airports' operations across all functions, ensuring the daily operational plan is communicated and delivered safely, securely, and efficiently.
Ensure effective operation of passenger processing plans across all touchpoints and proactively adapt as needed to meet service level targets.
Achieve target operational KPIs agreed with SVP-AMC to ensure a seamless passenger experience.
Communication and Coordination
Coordinate with all service partners (airside, baggage, passenger flow, transportation) to align, monitor, and optimize airport operations.
Maintain full oversight of pan-airport operations, ensuring optimal performance across all areas.
Lead AOCC shift briefings to ensure all service partners are informed of operational priorities.
Serve as the
senior point of liaison and escalation
between Abu Dhabi Airports and service partners (airlines, ground handlers, government authorities).
Maintain accurate operations logs, handover materials, and shift reports for analysis and improvement.
Incident and Disruption Management
Lead on-duty incident response and disruption mitigation for Abu Dhabi Airports.
Act as focal point of coordination between stakeholders during disruptions, delivering tactical recovery and re-planning activities.
Serve as the lead operational decision-maker during regular and irregular operations (except during EOC activation).
Assess incidents impacting airport or airline operations and implement appropriate responses, escalating when necessary.
Report risks, incidents, and lessons learned promptly, following all incident management protocols.
Act as operational lead during the initial phase of any airport or aircraft emergency and determine activation of disruption management cells or EOC.
Continuous Improvement
Lead, coach, and develop AOCC shift teams to enhance operational capability and performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by maintaining best practices and implementing improvement measures.
Team Management
Uphold Abu Dhabi Airports' values and behaviors within the AOCC team.
Inspire, lead, and develop AOCC managers and officers.
Develop and monitor team/shift KPIs to improve skills and operational delivery.
Requirements & Skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree
in a relevant discipline.
8+ years
of relevant management experience within airport, airline, or ground handling operations.
