Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Lifting Specialist (LEEA Certified) with 15 to 25 years of experience in lifting operations management on large scale construction projects specialized in heavy steel structures installations, particularly with a focus on projects that involve complex -tandem lifting operations utilizing various types of lifting equipment, including the Heavy Crawler Cranes Operations. Experience in the Heavy Gantry Cranes, SPMT Haulage and Strand Jacking Lifting Operations would be added advantage.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Client's Lifting Manager throughout all stages of project execution. If you are a highly skilled lifting professional, experienced in tandem lifts and technical lifting drawings, we encourage you to apply.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Exhibited teamwork and management capabilities.

Knowledge of various types of cranes and lifting equipment.

Understanding of International Standards including the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER).

Advocates for safety and the implementation of safe work systems.

Demonstrated experience in navigating complex construction environments.

Capable of clearly communicating work instructions in a multifaceted stakeholder setting.

Must operate efficiently under time pressures, organize workload to meet deadlines, and possess prioritization skills.

Strong Skills in contractor management.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and approve lifting plans in line with Lifting/Rigging policies, industry standards, and best practices.

Upon receipt of the Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Lift Plans via Aconex, a prompt review and approval and clearance process is initiated.

Oversee and manage all facets of lifting operations, including setup, rigging, and execution of Complex-Tandem Heavy lifts across worksites.

Direct and coordinate a team of Contractor's Appointed Persons and Lifting Supervisors to ensure that lifting activities are performed safely and efficiently.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of international standards and regulations pertaining to lifting procedures and practices and ensure organizational compliance.

Serve as a point of contact for any inquiries or concerns related to lifting, offering guidance and support to relevant stakeholders.

Promote training and development programs for contractor's lifting personnel, ensuring they have the essential skills and competencies to execute their roles effectively.

Work in collaboration with the Client and their Lifting Manager and external stakeholders to coordinate lifting activities and reduce operational disruptions.

Perform regular inspections and audits of lifting equipment and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement, offer technical support, and provide guidance on safe lifting practices to the Contractor, and implement necessary corrective actions.

Maintain precise records of lifting activities, including documentation of life plans, risk assessments, and equipment inspections.

Establish a functional energy to support, promote and ensure alignment with international lifting industry standards and to define the broader business objectives and set the strategic direction to guide the drive of contractor through implementing the 'Client's Cranes and Lifting Operations Procedures'.

Adopt a proactive and supportive strategy to ensure the continuation of safety standards and the effective implementation of corrective measures.

Implement 'Client's Cranes and Lifting Operations Procedures, to ensure safe lifting operations, mitigating potential risks and optimizing operational outcomes.

Interact with contractor through meetings, workshops, or individual consultations to offer advice and guidance on adhering to international lifting standards.

Ensure that lifting operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Client's Cranes and Lifting Operation procedures and legal requirements.
