The Group is a \xe2\x80\x9cLessee\xe2\x80\x9d of around \xe2\x80\x9c1500 Retail Outlets\xe2\x80\x9d across the Middle East region & South East Asia and the Leases are normally for a period of 4-6 years.
NEW Retail Outlets get added every year and similarly the existing leases of Retail Outlets come up for RENEWAL every year.
The leasing team handles 100s of Leases annually apart from other ancillary documents, agreements and contracts as may be required by business from time to time.
The leasing team is expected be very meticulous while dealing the leases as the entire business of the Group is solely dependent on these Retail Outlets.
Core Responsibilities for the Role
Reviewing of Offer Letter, MOU\xe2\x80\x99s, Term Sheet, Letter of Intent for protecting Core Business Asset and Interest of the Group.
Drafting and Vetting of Lease Agreement, Agreement to Lease, Sub-Leases, License Agreements, Deed of Assignments, Addendums, Deed of Amendment Contracts and Leases.
- Mitigating the Risks.
- Interpretation of clauses in Leases
- Legal Opinion/Advisory
- Negotiation with real estate owners and landlords
- Lease Repository and management of Contract Lifecycle Tool
- Managing legal notices, real estate litigation in Courts and DIAC
