Senior Legal Counsel Derivatives And Structured Finance

Job Description
Major investment bank seeks a derivatives and structured finance lawyer to work in a highly regarded legal team . The role would encompass enabling transactions relying on derivatives, securities financing (e.g. repos, securities lending, etc.) and other structured finance features and ensuring that business is conducted on a sound legal basis. Key responsibilities will include :
- Drafting, reviewing and/or negotiating legal documentation including templates of confirmations, structured Master Agreements (including ISDAs, ISDA/IIFM , GMRAs and GMSLAs), guarantees, security documents, confidentiality agreements, and any other relevant contractual documents and liaise, where necessary, with external counsel
- Taking all necessary steps to ensure a proper understanding of legal risks incurred by derivative and structured finance activities and providing appropriate solutions in order to manage legal risks
- Responsible for obtaining netting opinions
- Working in close cooperation with the front office teams in charge of structuring, originating and syndicating structured products and understand complex structures mainly for Global Markets and Islamic Finance products.
