Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:
Provide complex, strategic legal advice across areas such as corporate law, contracts, M&A, financing, intellectual property, labor law, tax, estate planning, and litigation.
Due Diligence & Reports:
Lead and coordinate due diligence exercises; prepare comprehensive legal reports for M&A, joint ventures, and financing transactions.
Drafting & Negotiation:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, corporate charters, shareholder agreements, loan documents, litigation filings, and other legal instruments.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
Represent clients before courts, arbitral tribunals, and regulatory bodies; liaise with opposing counsel and prepare all necessary documentation.
Risk Assessment & Compliance:
Identify and assess legal risks; develop and implement mitigation strategies; advise on AML, data protection (including DIFC / ADGM regimes), and international business compliance.
Business Development:
Support client acquisition and retention efforts; participate in pitches and market?facing events; build strong client relationships.
Training & Knowledge Sharing:
Conduct in?house and client?facing seminars on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
Cross?Jurisdictional Advice:
For clients operating in multiple jurisdictions, research and advise on foreign laws and regulations, coordinating with local counsel as needed.
Candidate RequirementsEssential
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' post?qualification experience in a UAE law firm environment.
Language Skills:
Native?level English and fluent Arabic (both spoken and written).
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated track record in due diligence, M&A, corporate finance, litigation, and compliance matters.
Education:
LLB (or equivalent) plus an advanced law degree (LLM/JD) or relevant postgraduate qualification.
Professional Admission:
Admitted to the UAE bar (or eligible for admission) and in good standing.
Skills:
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Excellent analytical, problem?solving, and judgment abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
High ethical standards and client?focused approach
Preferred
Prior experience working with
Chinese clients
or teams, and/or proficiency in Mandarin.
Familiarity with
ADGM
and
DIFC
legal frameworks.
Exposure to international arbitration and cross?border transactions.
