Job Description

Collaborate with clients to identify project requirements, lifestyle needs, design preferences, timelines, and budget parameters. Develop innovative interior design concepts that reflect the client's vision while meeting functional and technical requirements. Prepare concept presentations including space planning, mood boards, color schemes, material selections, and furniture layouts. Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution. Analyze spatial layouts to enhance functionality, ergonomics, and circulation efficiency. Prepare detailed design documentation including drawings, specifications, BOQs (if required), and 3D renderings. Assist in project scheduling, cost estimation, and value engineering to align designs with approved budgets. Source and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, lighting, furniture, and accessories in line with approved designs. Conduct site visits to monitor installation, finishing quality, and compliance with design intent. Resolve site-related design issues and provide technical support during execution. Participate in final inspections, snag-list preparation, and handover coordination with clients. Keep abreast of industry trends, new materials, sustainable design solutions, and emerging technologies. Support management with design-related tasks and project coordination as required.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline. Proven experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality interior design projects. Strong creative skills with a solid understanding of space planning, materials, and finishes. Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Lumion, or similar tools. Ability to prepare professional presentations and design documentation. Knowledge of interior design standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, coordination, and client-handling skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
