Senior ITS Engineer

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is seeking to fill a position of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Senior Engineer in our Connected Communities Division. This position requires execution of ITS and signal system projects in Dubai and the GCC region related to integration, design, design-build and construction.

Systems engineering related to systems integration, design, design build, construction and implementation of ITS and signal system projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading day-to-day high-level systems engineering and management, including

Directing the work of project engineering teams, checking, monitoring and ensuring tasks are completed to technical, schedule and cost requirements

Identifying and coordinating with other technical disciplines and clients as required on technical aspects

Evaluating engineering problems and consulting with technical experts, as necessary, to develop cost effective and robust solutions

Identifying and applying appropriate design aids

Assisting with the preparation of bid documents, providing information for reports and participating in particular investigations as required

Working and communicating on a diverse range of projects

Undertaking presentations to clients and senior management

Preparing feasibility studies, designs, specifications, program and cost estimates for specific jobs

Staying current with advances in technology applicable to the delivery of leading-edge ITS solutions

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering

Minimum of 9 years of applicable systems engineering experience

Knowledge of/experience with ITS Field Infrastructure Design, Integration, and Testing, Smart Cities Infrastructure/concepts, Fiber and Wireless Communications, Connected and Autonomous Vehicle technology, ATMS, ATDM and ICM

Proficient verbal communication - speaking and listening skills - with both technical and non-technical people

Effective presentation skills - public speaking and development of visual aids

Effective written communication

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project, etc.)
