Job Description
Insurance Officer : Scope:
- Candidates must be responsible for managing and overseeing all the aspects of both the insurance covers and claims related to the company\'s various activities of CPM & CAR policies and other policies as well.
- Ensure that the company and its activities are adequately protected against different potential risks and that the claims are processed efficiently.
- Responsible for handling the insurance-related documentations along with the selection of appropriate insurance policies carefully after collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Study and evaluate the necessary insurance requirements for the company\xe2\x80\x99s various projects and other activities and determine properly the appropriate types of insurance coverage required.
- Research various insurance policies and its terms in the market and negotiate the premiums for the same with the insurers to get cost-effective coverage.
- Always review the terms and conditions of the existing insurance policies deeply and make the necessary amendments/enhancements of the same according to the variations of the company\xe2\x80\x99s business activities.
- Handling properly all the insurance claims during the process of reporting, evaluation, documentation and until closed for the filing.
- Work closely with all the stakeholders to ensure the submission of all the claims timely and accurately.
- Coordinate with insurance parties and their representatives on behalf of the company\'s interests during the claim settlements.
- Always conduct very good risk assessments for the assigned projects/activities in order to identify the potential liabilities and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in developing risk management policies and procedures frequently.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date insurance records and documentation, including the policies, certificates of insurance and claim records.
- Ensure and compliance with all the legal and regulatory requirements related to the insurance in the construction industry.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business/Risk Management/Finance or any related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years experience in the insurance field or a related role within the Construction or Heavy Machinery industry is preferred.
- Should be expert in CAR & CPM Policies .
- Strong and sound knowledge of all the insurance principles, policies and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
