Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

HSE Policy Development and Implementation

: Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, and updating these as necessary to reflect legislative changes.

Risk Assessments and Safety Audits

: Regular risk assessments and safety audits are to be conducted on landscaping sites. Potential hazards must be identified and appropriate control measures implemented. Findings should be documented and reported, with recommendations for corrective actions.

Training and Education

: Develop and deliver Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) training programs for employees and contractors, ensuring awareness of safety procedures and emergency protocols through regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.

Incident Investigation and Reporting

: Analyze accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes, prepare comprehensive reports and documentation, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Environmental Management

: Promote environmental sustainability through proper waste management and disposal procedures, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Emergency Preparedness and Response

: To ensure preparedness, develop and maintain emergency response plans, conduct regular drills and training, and coordinate with local emergency services.

Health and Well-being Initiatives

: Promote employee health and wellness programs and monitor occupational health hazards, implementing necessary preventive measures.

Continuous Improvement

: Maintain current knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) best practices and technologies, engage in ongoing enhancement of HSE management systems, and actively participate in HSE-focused meetings and discussions.

Qualifications and Skills

:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as

is a must

Experience:

Minimum of

5

years of experience in an HSE role is a must, preferably within the landscaping or construction industry in UAE. Must have

UAE Driver's license + Car

Skills:

Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

NEBOSH

and other certifications in UAE is must. Ability to conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports. Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform site inspections and work in various outdoor conditions. Capable of lifting and carrying safety equipment and materials as needed.
Working Conditions:

Frequent travel to various landscaping sites. May require working outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or conduct training.
