Job Title: Senior HSE Engineer (Leave cover)

Overview:

Atkinsrealis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Engineer to join our team for site operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, excellent leadership abilities, and the capacity to effectively engage with clients. This position requires a candidate of Arabic nationality who can attend face-to-face client interviews in the UAE.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines for site operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Lead HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.

Provide leadership and guidance to HSE teams, fostering a culture of safety awareness and accountability.

Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with project management and subcontractors to address HSE concerns and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, preparing regular reports for management review and continuous improvement.

Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in HSE management, and incorporate relevant updates into company policies and procedures.

Represent the company in meetings with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and expertise in HSE matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 25 years of experience in HSE management, with significant experience in the UAE.

Proven track record of leading successful HSE programs in construction or industrial settings.

Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations and standards, including ADNOC, OSHAD, and other relevant guidelines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Arabic and English.

Certified Health and Safety Professional (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.

Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and HSE management software.
