An opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior HSE consultant to join our regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi or Dubai to help us deliver high-level consultancy services and ensure we operate safely in challenging environments.
The successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s duties and responsibilities will include
supporting the Middle East Business in delivering a broad range of environmental and technical services to clients across the GCC Region,
supporting the RSK directors and wider team with the business plan, bringing in new work and developing client relationships
undertaking HSE project work and providing technical HSE support and leadership across a diverse range of projects and tenders
full HSE management system development and support for clients and ensuring the region\xe2\x80\x99s HSE management system meets RSK Group requirements
undertaking HAZID and ENVID studies, having a good understanding of HAZOP studies and developing HSE plans and supporting documentation to ensure we execute work safely across the Region
undertaking health and safety compliance evaluations, inspections and audits at prescribed intervals on project sites across the GCC Region
ensuring periodic inspections of safety and life-saving equipment on project site and RSK offices and facilities
carrying out project and business sector HSE performance reviews using lagging and leading indicators in conjunction with RSK directors
reviewing and investigating accidents, incidents and near-miss events in accordance with RSK standards to identify and share lessons learned
auditing and ensuring compliance with licences, environmental permits and specific working plans
reporting HSE activities and statistics to the RSK safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) team
managing HSE inductions, delivering HSE training and behaviour-based safety training and incentive programmes.
The successful candidate will have
a bachelor or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in an engineering, science or HSE-related field
relevant HSE qualification, such as NEBOSH General Certificate In Occupational Health & Safety and Level 6 National/International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals or equivalent.
IOSH or IEMA registration desirable
at least seven years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a the HSE field, preferably gained with an international environmental consultancy delivering HSE services
Middle East experience is essential
oil, gas and other regulated industry experience (preferable)
a good working knowledge of local regulations and the ability to interact with regulatory bodies in GCC Region is beneficial
experience of working with ISO 14001and ISO 45001
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, adaptable and a good team player able to work on their own initiative to drive implementation of HSE requirements.
The role will require significant travel across the GCC Region, including Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Up to 50% of the successful candidates time will be spent on RSK and client sites across the GCC Region.
