We are seeking a senior and strategic leader to head our Channel & Freelance Partnerships team. This role involves building and managing relationships with freelance partners, agents, channel partners, and vendors who list or promote businesses on our platform. You will be responsible for scaling partner acquisition, optimizing partner performance, and driving revenue through partner channels.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Develop a channel and freelance partner strategy aligned with company growth goals. Set KPIs, targets, and budgets for partner acquisition and revenue from these channels.
Partner Acquisition & Onboarding
Identify, negotiate, and onboard freelance partners and channel partners. Define terms, pricing, commission structure, contractual setup, training, and quality standards.
Performance Management
Monitor and measure partner performance (sales, conversions, listing quality, lead generation etc.), provide feedback, and take corrective actions. Incentivize top-performing partners.
Partnership Growth & Retention
Design and execute programs to retain and grow the partner base. Upsell additional services to partners, encourage more engagement, and reduce churn.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Product, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support to ensure that partners are supported, features are communicated, issues are resolved, and partner needs are integrated into product roadmaps.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure partner listings meet standards of content, completeness, customer service, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Reporting & Insights
Provide regular reports to senior leadership on partner metrics, forecasts, market insights, risk areas, and opportunities.
Budget & Financial Oversight
Manage budgets related to partner commissions, incentives, and channel operations. Ensure profitability and ROI from channel/freelance partnerships.
Required Qualifications & Skills
7-10+ years experience in partner/channel-marketing / business development / alliances, preferably in marketplace, listings, SaaS, or local services platforms.
Proven track record of building and scaling freelance / channel partner networks and hitting growth/revenue targets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, relationship management skills.
Strong analytical mindset; ability to track KPIs, derive insights, and iterate.
Familiarity with digital platforms, e-commerce, listing services, local search, etc.
Leadership experience: managing teams, processes, partner tools/systems.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant post-graduate degree preferred.
