Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description
Location : UAE Qualifications : (Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher) The Senior Engineer shall be a qualified Engineer with minimum of 12 years’ experience in Design and Supervision of Geotechnical works out of a minimum of 15 years overall experience.
Duties : The duties of the Senior Engineer shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:
Requirements :
- Review the drawings, Geotechnical reports, SPECIFICATION, TECHNICAL SUBMITTALS and Materials submitted by the CONTRACTOR(S) at each stage of the Construction to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the Scope of WORK and agreements requirements.
- Carry out construct ability review during the Construction and modification stages.
- Review in a timely manner the CONTRACTOR(S) and SUB-CONTRACTOR(S) submittals and forward comments to the Project I construction Manager.
- Ensure the CONTRACTOR(S) incorporate the comments raised from previous stages.
- Attend Technical Meetings with the CONTRACTOR(S), Sub-Contractor's and COMPANY Team.
- Review CONTRA(::TOR I CONSULTANT'S proposed organizations and related CV's and report to Project I Construction Manager' on his findings.
- Coordinate with PROJECT Document Controller and PMC QAIQC Eng. to ensure that all Documents related to his discipline are properly controlled.
- Review any alternatives/changes to the CONTRACTOR'S scope of works submitted by the CONTRACTOR(S) and SUB-CONTRACTOR(S), prepare and submit a report including recommendation to Project I Construction Manager highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
- Review the materials proposed by the CONTRACTOR(S) / SUBCONTRACTOR(S) and propose alternatives to improve the quality, future maintenance, safety and cost effectiveness.
- Review the change requests IV ARIA TIONS submitted by the CONTRACTOR(S).
