Worley is currently looking for a Senior Fire and Gas Engineer to join the team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role will be initial based in the Client office in Abu Dhabi and will move to site for constructability support Job Purpose & Accountabilities Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities. Reporting to the PMC Process Manager and works under his direction. during the EPC Engineering and Procurement phases. Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor's Fire and Gas Engineering activities. Review and approve EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with Contract obligations, Project specifications, relevant codes and standards, design philosophy, and Industry best practices. Provide PMC Process safety performance data and reports to PMC Management and the Owner. Provide technical guidance to develop new specifications and update existing specifications. Perform calculations for design validation and optimization. Review technical bid submissions and perform technical bid analysis. Participate in Layout, P&lD, PHASER, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, Layout Safety Reviews, PSSR, constructability reviews, 3D Model reviews, safety audits, QRA workshops, etc. Provide Fire and Gas Engineering expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models. Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers. Participate in analysis during EPC Contractor and Vendor pre-qualification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation. Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor's Process safety Engineering activities and review deliverables including philosophies, data sheets, specifications, layouts, close out reports, detailed drawings, etc. pertaining to risk studies, Fire and Gas systems, firefighting equipment, muster station, TGR's, TSRs, Safety Signage, hazardous areas classifications, etc. Review any Project specific Risk Management Systems and criteria pertaining to Process safety. Review of HSEIAs for Process safety Engineering inputs, including reviewing hazards and effects registers, bow tie diagrams, HSECES register, HSCES performance standards and procedures, etc. Review Emergency Response procedures and plans for fire and Gas inputs including alignment with Owner specifications and standards etc Ensuring HSSEQ goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement. Safe delivery and handover of the Project to the Owner, sustainably, safely, on time, within budget, ensuring that a quality product is produced that represents 'best value' for the Owner and their Stakeholders

Minimum of 12 years of experience working in the Oil and Gas Industry Engineering Design experience in Fire and Gas Systems is a key requirement for this role Experience supporting Testing and Commissioning for Fire and Gas Equipment Degree in Engineering is a mandatory requirement Knowledge of Safety workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, etc. Exposure in Safety Studies such as FERA, QRA, EERA, ESSA, COMAH, HSEIA, Safety Critical Elements - identification, performance standards and Bow-Ties, etc. Hands-on experience in HSE Design aspects in Petrochemicals / Oil & Gas FEED / Detailed Engineering projects
