Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Financial Accountant

to manage financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations in line with

UAE regulations and IFRS standards

. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, VAT compliance, and effective communication with Arabic-speaking stakeholders, authorities, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with

IFRS and UAE regulatory requirements

Manage full-cycle accounting activities including general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Lead month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed assets Ensure

UAE VAT compliance

, including VAT returns, reconciliations, and coordination with tax consultants Liaise with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities in the UAE Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Provide financial analysis, reports, and insights to senior management Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Coordinate with internal departments and regional partners, including

Arabic-speaking stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage) Professional certification such as

ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA

is strongly preferred

5-8 years of accounting experience

, with at least

2-3 years in a senior accounting role

Solid experience working in the

UAE market

, including VAT and local compliance Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
Skills & Competencies

Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory

Strong command of English (spoken and written) Experience with accounting and ERP systems such as

SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel High attention to detail and strong analytical skills Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
