Job Summary
The Senior Finance Executive is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role involves financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to drive business performance and optimise financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
Support internal and external audits.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report discrepancies.
Provide financial modelling and scenario analysis for business decisions.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital.
Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for payments, loans, and investments.
Ensure the timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Tax & Compliance
Ensure timely filing of tax returns (Corporate Tax, VAT/GST, Withholding Tax).
Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on tax-related matters.
Maintain compliance with local financial regulations.
Process Improvement & Automation
Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend improvements.
Implement best practices in financial controls and reporting.
Leverage financial software (ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) for automation.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with senior management to support business growth strategies.
Provide financial insights to department heads for cost optimization.
Mentor and guide junior finance team members.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA/ACCA/MBA preferred).
Experience: 5+ years in finance/accounting roles, preferably in a similar industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
Knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
