Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Job Scope

To manage the finance and accounts function of the company

Job Responsibilities

Financial management

Using advanced financial analyses and determine the present and future financial condition of the company.

Researching and reporting on factors that influence the company's performance and analysing and predicting market trends.

Developing financial management strategies to reduce financial risk, providing relevant recommendations to maximize profits, and assisting executives in decision making.

Monitoring reporting systems, preparing financial reports and statements,

interpreting data, preparing, and publishing all financial documents and ensuring adherence to industry regulations.

Managing accounting, budget, cash flow and reviewing cost-reduction strategies

Developing long-term and strategic business plans and organizing new funding strategies

Developing external relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers, and other statutory organizations

Management Accounting

Preparing budgets, income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents

Measuring the company's financial performance based on financial records.

Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management

Performing audits of departments within the organization

Managing other aspects of financial operations such as bookkeeping and payroll

Communicating and interpreting financial data to operations manager

Treasury Management

Manage cash flow and ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the company's financial obligations.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash management, investment, and risk management activities.

Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable terms for the company's borrowing needs.

Monitor financial market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Analyze financial data to make informed decisions regarding investment opportunities.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.

Prepare regular reports and analyses for senior management.

General Accounting

Responsible for day-to-day Bookkeeping and Accounting of GL Accounts; Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Asset Accounting, tax computation for all related companies in the accounting system.

Responsible for Monthly reconciliation of all Banks Accounts; Accounts payable; Accounts Receivable.

Assist in Fixed Asset reconciliation and Inventory reconciliation.

Responsible for Petty Cash book maintenance and recording

Prepare VAT return and ensure that VAT is filed timely.

Ensure compliance with the UAE law.

Issue invoices to customers.

Reconcile bank transactions.

Job Competencies

Education and Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred

Experience:

Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.

Experience in staffing, training, contracting, or service industry in the UAE is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws, payroll accounting, and WPS compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks)and Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team, review financial transactions, and ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
