Travel: Yes, 100 % of the Time SAIC is currently seeking an OCONUS Field Engineer to support its Force Protection operations in the Southwest Asia with the potential for other areas of operation. Job Overview: The candidate will provide systems support to Force Protection Programs and capabilities fielding and sustainment OCONUS. Support the hardware and software management of Force Protection Systems. Must be familiar with Force Protection measures and emplacement/utilization of technology to meet Warfighter needs. The candidate will assist with implementation and optimization of hardware and software products at customer sites including oversight and support of existing hardware, software configurations and new system initiatives for all sites within area of responsibility. Installation of software maintenance releases or hardware upgrades including the oversight of the installation process and test procedures to diagnose and resolve product performance problems at installation. Verification of network connectivity across platforms is required. Support configuration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of networks that provide sensor connectivity to command posts and command post software. The candidate will perform extensive troubleshooting to determine faults within the system. Ensure all Cyber Security protocols are followed for fielded capabilities.

Requires in-depth customer interaction with military units on the ground during site visits. Must possess on-the-spot personal decision-making skills. The candidate will also be required to assist with the movement of repair parts from storage sites to the FOB along with other Logistics-based responsibilities.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree with 5 (five) years experience; four (4) years experience accepted in lieu of degree. Required Skills: Must meet DoD Height/Weight standards Must currently possess a SECRET security clearance Must satisfactorily complete CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements, including medical and dental requirements prior to deployment Must be able to lift 97 pounds occasionally and 73 pounds frequently Must be willing to live and work in austere environment for extended periods
