Job Description
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents. The role involves coordinating with project managers, procurement, and design teams to ensure competitive, profitable, and compliant bids are submitted to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Review & Analysis
Study tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements. Identify risks, discrepancies, and clarifications needed from the client/consultant.Quantity Take-off & BOQ Preparation
Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and ensure accuracy in measurements.Cost Estimation
Collect material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor prices. Prepare cost breakdowns and detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, MEP works (as applicable). Ensure estimates are aligned with company standards, market rates, and project scope.Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. Evaluate offers based on technical and commercial compliance.Tender Submission
Prepare technical and commercial proposals. Ensure timely submission of tenders and prequalification documents.Value Engineering
Propose alternative materials, construction methods, and cost-saving measures. Support in optimizing designs to meet budget requirements.Post-Tender Support
Assist in negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Prepare revised offers, clarifications, and justifications as required.Coordination & Reporting
Work closely with project, procurement, and finance teams to ensure cost accuracy. Report estimation progress, workload, and cost risks to management.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
