Job Description
A QA/QC Engineer (Welding & NDE & Fabrication) is responsible for ensuring that all welding, non-destructive examination (NDE), and fabrication processes meet specified quality standards. This includes reviewing and verifying welding procedures, inspecting welds, and overseeing NDE activities. They also play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of fabricated components and structures.
Qualification Required
- An Engineering Degree-preferably from Mechanical background.
- CSWIP, AWS CWI, or equivalent.
- Certifications in various NDE methods, such as ASNT Level II in Dye Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Radiographic Testing, and Ultrasonic Testing. etc.
- A strong understanding of relevant welding codes and standards, such as ASME, AWS, API, and BS EN
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, interpreting engineering drawings, and using quality management systems
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Good experience in the large oil and gas brown field projects
- Previous experience in the ADNOC projects is an added advantage.
- GCC experience is a must.
