Location
Based in Al Khobar office, travel within KSA to project plants and travel to Riyadh and client visits on business development activity. 70% Engineering 30% Business Development activity. Mainly based in Al Khobar estimated travel twice per month internal KSA. Flexibility required. All expenses paid for travel.

The Role
Reporting to the S&L KSA CEO. Also reporting and working with and various project Director’s and Managers in UAE, India and USA. Depending on the live projects ongoing at any time.
  • Primary job is senior engineering manager in S&L KSA developing a growing team
  • Primarily thermal power plant knowledge – working on studies on existing plant and new plant in kingdom. Secondary knowledge of desalination not essential. Secondary knowledge renewable energy not essential.
  • Working on diverse projects problems including thermal old and new plant - working with S&L KSA, UAE, India and USA teams who provide back up support for each individual project.
  • During low engineering project activity supporting the business development function of S&L KSA
  • Continually supporting proposal development within the S&L KSA consulting business
  • Budgeting and understanding costing and budgeting of consulting engineering projects
  • Developing an in-kingdom engineering design team
Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership, manage and co-ordinate all of the engineering studies and assessments for the S&L KSA across all phases of work in the design and studies process
  • Working on various operating plant in kingdom – studies, surveys, analysis and solutions of client operating issues
  • Working with and managing project with supporting resources from UAE, India and USA offices for different projects
  • Supporting a growing engineering office covering thermal and renewable energies
  • Able to interface with client at all levels of seniority from working engineers to VP business management level
Qualifications:
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
  • Minimum of 15 years thermal plant engineering, studies, design and project management experience
  • Undergraduate degree mechanical engineering
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer Status preferred
  • Sound knowledge of all engineering aspects of major power plant
  • Secondary knowledge of desalination and or renewables
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • User of MS Office
  • Preferably previous experience of projects in the Middle East
