Senior Engineer - Technical Coordination - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Azizi Developments is hiring a Senior Engineer - Technical Coordination to oversee design documentation, subcontractor coordination, and shop drawing management for large-scale projects in Dubai. The role requires strong leadership, multidisciplinary coordination skills, and the ability to manage engineering workflows and drafting teams effectively.

Job Details

• Prepare GFC drawing logs, subcontractor RFP logs, and RFP update trackers for each project
• Generate look-ahead schedules from the engineering program to align with project timelines
• Coordinate with structural, post-tension, facade, landscaping, MEP, waterproofing, interior design, and other subcontractors
• Monitor GFC logs with the document controller and ensure accurate tracking
• Prepare RFIs, follow up with the design team, and respond to site RFIs when required
• Coordinate with main contractors and subcontractors at site level for issue resolution
• Lead and manage draftsman teams, ensuring shop drawings are prepared, reviewed, and delivered on schedule
• Review and approve shop drawings across all disciplines, managing final approvals through INAXUS
• Provide technical direction, updating draftsmen on bulk material details and project specifications
• Work closely with the Technical Manager to support project workflows and overall design compliance
• Review material submittals prepared by material engineers and ensure alignment with brand standards and guidelines
• Support in reviewing, commenting, and finalizing physical samples throughout project stages
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
• Proven experience in design coordination, shop drawing management, and subcontractor liaison
• Strong leadership experience in managing draftsman teams and multidisciplinary workflows
• Proficiency in document control platforms such as INAXUS
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
