Senior Engineer - Surface Pressure Control New Product Development

Join our innovating Engineering team You will be responsible for Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical The Senior Engineer in Surface Pressure Control (SPC) New Product Development (NPD) is responsible for innovating new products and improvement of existing products from concept through qualification test and product launch.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Executing the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned NPD projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work includes primarily mechanical engineering.

Leading teams of engineers and designers on NPD projects, conducting team on calculations, FEA, mechanical design, BOM definition, system definition, test procedures, and engineering adherence to schedule and budget.

Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems, or processes. Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in API 6A products and new product development processes.

Creating and maintains projects plans, technical roadmaps, technical risks, and product recommendations. Is confident presenting this information to senior business leaders within SPC and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams.

Communicating solutions across engineering and with cross-functional partner organizations. Mentors and trains other engineers within SPC.

Preparing and conducts design reviews for NPD projects. Chairs design reviews for other engineering teams.

Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will:

Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design of oil and gas production equipment.

Have minimum of 5 years of experience in design of wellhead and/or tree equipment. Preferably surface, but subsea will also be considered.

Have significant experience innovating new products from concept through qualification, evidenced by involvement in multiple new product developments and/or patents.

Have Experience in metal and elastomer sealing systems for oilfield applications.

Have strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, and execute projects.

Have more than 5 years of experience in mechanical design of API 6A products. Full familiarity with API 6A.

Have experience defining and conducting multiple new product qualification tests.

Be able to perform simple structural FEA, preferably in ANSYS

Have competency with CAD (preferably Creo) and ASME Y14.5m

Have experience designing metal seals for wellhead and tree equipment.

Be able to demonstrate experience in Engineering projects leadership.

Demonstrate experience with Product Leadership, Innovation, Engineering, Process, Product Development and Product design.
