JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer - Cost Control KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in organizing Cost control set-up for an assigned project. Prepare estimates and budget & cost control reports. Analyse and provide necessary cost and budget information to the Supervisor/Project Management and Corporate Management. \xef\x81\x93 Provide assigned project cost budgets including material, manpower and equipment/material costs, sub-contracts, third party services and financial cost etcetera. \xef\x81\x93 Coordinate with the project engineers to clarify any query/discrepancies. Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks. \xef\x81\x93 Prepare cost reports on a periodic basis on the status of the costs incurred and the variations of the budgeted v/s actual in consultation with supervisor/Project Manager. \xef\x81\x93 Monitor costs and generate variance reports as and when required and forward to the Supervisor/Project Manager for his perusal. \xef\x81\x93 Workout forecast for various line items of the cost report in consultation with project team members. \xef\x81\x93 Carry out assessment of potential variations/claims from sub-contractors/vendors. \xef\x81\x93 Assist Project Engineers in preparing additional cost analysis as deemed necessary. \xef\x81\x93 Participate in project review meetings, if required and provide any cost related data as and when required. \xef\x81\x93 Interface and provide clarification to the project engineers and Accounts and provide assistance wherever required. \xef\x81\x93 Propose new suggestion if any and keep improving/updating the process of effective cost control. \xef\x81\x93 Develop historical Cost database of a project for future reference. \xef\x81\x93 Provide training and guidance to new/junior Cost Control personnel. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Engineering Degree with minimum of 10 years working experience out of which minimum Three years in the Cost Control function of EPC projects. #LI-BS1
