Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Establish an overall oil and gas Field Development plan (FDP), integrating and completing company plans, taking into account obsolescence and replacement needs. Provides technical expertise to support Full Field Development Plan (FFDP) studies, build appropriate dynamic simulation models, and define appraisal strategy/plan including data acquisition requirements through interfaces with Data Management and technologies that effectively integrate Reservoir Engineering aspects into static and dynamic evaluation of reservoirs, FDP and future investment decisions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Analyses observed (or simulated) reservoir behaviour and recommend ways to mitigate undesirable performance. Designs and implements core acquisition for routine and SCAL programs, including extraction, preservation and storage. Analyses QC SCAL measurements conducted or analysed by contractors for consistency, and applies analysis results to appropriate field development activities. Applies principles of Equation of state and its use in fluid characterization. Specifies bottom and surface sampling procedures to sample Black oil, volatile oil, dry gas, wet gas and gas condensate wells. Recognises and accountable for non-standard features in well tests through knowing the tools, techniques and interpretation packages available for measuring and interpreting bottom hole pressures as input to identify wellbore damage and further well test analysis. Responsible for integrating pressure, production test results for reservoir simulation and management decisions. Optimizes and manages relevant data collection activities including I-field data where applicable. Assess risks and uncertainties (subsurface and surface) in field development and propose mitigation plan. Develops single well or reservoir production forecasts using classical reservoir engineering methods. Performs actively the projects related to reservoir simulation on full field model construction from upscaling, initialisation, validation, history match and forecast. Manages a sizeable and/or complex production system modelling study leading to FDP (Field Development Plan) or CFDP (Conceptual Field Development Plan).
