Position: Senior Engineer - QA/QC - Switchgear Manufacturing Job Location: Ajman Job Type: Full time Job Responsibilities:
Ensures costs are effectively monitored and controlled, maintaining adherence to allocated budgets.
Establishes annual performance goals in consultation with the reporting manager and drives achievement of these objectives throughout the year.
Acts as subject-matter expert, guiding and mentoring team members to improve skills and performance.
Designs, implements, and optimizes workflows, policies, plans, and templates for each phase of QA/QC activities to minimize non-conformances and enhance overall project quality.
Develops comprehensive QA/QC plans for all project phases, ensuring alignment with company's quality standards and proactively identifying areas for process improvement.
Ensures strict adherence to QA/QC documentation, procedures, and standards across projects, providing expert guidance to project teams.
Reviews and analyzes QA/QC data from inspections, tests, and surveys to evaluate system effectiveness; prepares detailed reports and recommendations for management and clients.
Monitors and drives the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), implements corrective actions, and establishes controls to prevent recurrence.
Develops inspection and sample testing plans for materials; ensures proper storage and handling and validates supplier reports on product changes to assess impacts on projects.
Prepares, reviews, and ensures alignment of ITPs with project contracts, specifications, and quality objectives.
Leads Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), resolving quality issues, explaining procedures to customers, and recommending corrective measures.
Conducts root cause analysis for customer complaints and project issues, driving corrective actions and risk identification in collaboration with project teams.
Trains and mentors' technicians and junior QA/QC staff on XPEDEON, systems, processes, and in-process inspections to ensure consistent quality execution.
Provides strategic oversight of fabrication, assembly, and testing, ensuring full quality control of finished products, including Low Voltage, Control, and Relay panels.
Participates in production meetings, ensures adherence to project schedules, and coordinates with Projects and Design teams to prevent deviations from customer specifications.
Leads initiatives to reduce recurring FAT comments, implement lessons learned, and enhance QA/QC processes for upcoming projects.
Responsible for Reduction of common FAT comments for upcoming projects via incorporating previous comments.
Oversees toolbox talks, records deviations through Concession Deviation Forms (DCA), and ensures management approvals and proper documentation for all quality-related actions.
Job Requirements
Strong knowledge of IEC 61439 standards with proven capability to interpret and apply the requirements.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating professionalism, respect and integrity when dealing with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with sound decision making skills
Expert-level proficiency in quality processes, continuous improvement methodologies
Extensive experience in developing and leading the implementation of QA/QC plans, quality procedures, and project-specific inspection strategies.
Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to oversee complex processes and drive quality-focused execution across multiple project stages.
