Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to prepare detailed designs for Mechanical, HVAC as well as Drainage, sewerage and Plumbing systems.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

Designing Pump stations such as Sewage, storm Water, Irrigation, Firefighting, Potable water system etc. starting from concept level to detailed design stage.

Equipment selection for MEICA elements related to pump stations

Revit model block preparation/ coordination.

HVAC Calculations using HAP or other approved software for Load calculations and analysis.

Carrying out MEP calculations required for developing the design drawings.

Prepare data sheets, and Detailed Technical specifications required for construction.

Preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

Preparing tender documents for Gas plants, Networks & performance specification as per ADNOC Regulations and Standards.

Preparing tender documents and Performance specifications for Sewage treatment plants.

Coordination with MEICA team for completing the design works.

Independently prepare and explain the technical reports and power point Presentations for various stages of design works.

Use AutoCAD. MicroStation, HAP, Navisworks and other PC software packages typically associated with Design Engineering.

Apply Dubai Civil Defense regulations and standards.

Apply Dubai Municipality Standards and Regulations.

What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:

Minimum 10 years relevant experience in Mechanical design of Large Infrastructure projects with minimum 4 years in similar Senior Mechanical Engineer position

Recent experience Mechanical designs to local and international standards

Extensive experience and proficiency in using HVAC HAP Carrier software, CFD software, BIM amd Revit experience and other software to perform Advanced surge system analysis, pressure and flow studies, for networks and grids.

Experience on detailed designs of Mechanical systems for drainage, sewerage, Irrigation and Fire pump stations.

Basic knowledge of carrying out CFD analysis for tunnels utilizing software such as CHAM (Phoenics), SES, and similar software.

Must have thorough knowledge of NFPA regulations, Fire and Life Safety codes, and various local authority standards in the GCC like Dubai Civil Defense.

Preparing master plans from Concept stage to Detailed Master Plan stage in terms of utility corridor space proofing, defining ROW requirements, coordination for wet utilities, with roads, transportation, landscape and building design teams

Develop Master plan report, derive utility demand load calculations, sizing major equipment and selective protection coordination, tie in point requirements, Full understanding of wet utilities and infrastructure projects from Concept to IFC stage

Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects calculations, and report writing skills.

Shall be able to analyze the specific project requirements for greenfield, brownfield projects.

Extensive knowledge in design of HVAC system including selecting appropriate type of Air conditioning system, heat load calculations, pipe sizing, sizing of chillers, and all associated equipment.

Design of mechanical equipment for Sewerage Treatment Plants, Reverse Osmosis Plants and various Storm water, Sewage, Irrigation Pumping Stations.

Preparation of design reports, specifications, tender documents and securing design approvals for different project phases including coordination with client/authorities/sub consultants.

Review of design reports prepared by other consultants and preparation of design review reports

Preparation of technical proposals and estimation for projects, Technical Evaluation of Bids and preparation of evaluation reports.

What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:

Coordination with all local authorities of GCC Region

Carrying out Value Engineering for various technical options and preparing Value Engineering reports with recommendations.

Preparing Clarifications to Contractor RFIs, Review/approve key technical submittals related to Mechanical works and dry utilities.

Experience in using Microstation, AutoCAD, civil 3D, Navisworks environment and BIM software as well as Revit software is necessary.

Verifying clash analysis and resolving the clashes in 3D models.
