As a global industry leader in environmental sustainability, we are the first in the world to capture carbon from the iron and steel industry. Our Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) facility at Al Reyadah has the capacity to capture 800,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) from Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) each year, for use in the Bab and Rumaitha oil fields to support Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR). Al Reyadah is, therefore, a critical enabler of ADNOC\'s 2030 sustainability goals.

Job Purpose

Undertake and lead GIS tasks including support, advice, reporting, mapping, data maintenance, and documentation management relating to GIS Systems and data repositories at GIS / NOC section. Provide advice on geospatial matters within GIS related project teams on technical issues.

Key Accountabilities

Establishes the GIS business processes in the engineering disciplines and designs, runs the appropriate workflows to ensure the process results and assure the high quality of GIS outputs. Implements the GIS procedures to be followed in Engineering & Projects for GIS team and the contractors to make sure the on-time on-shape delivery of GIS data.

Assures the availability of all of-plot projects in the GIS database to the latest available version and to the best accuracy.

Liaises with other ADNOC parties to maintain the GIS data fit for purpose and available to authorized users.

Identifies new GIS technologies and the benefits of integrating them with other engineering systems. Prepares the GIS manual for Engineering & Projects and continuously update and improve it to enhance the GIS delivery as per the emerged requirements or the lessons learnt from previous Projects.

Ensure the accuracy of GIS maps by running and controlling the procedures of data updating and data enhancing.

Establishes and implements QA procedures and conducts audit to ensure the completeness, accuracy, integrity and the quality of the GIS data and correction procedures.

Designs the database templates with appropriate data model to be used in Engineering & Projects and the training sessions that will be given to the contractors to fill these templates as per ADNOC Onshore requirements.

Provides support to the planning teams and conceptual designing in optimizing the locations allocation processes.

Minimum Qualification, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor Degree in GIS Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

8 years experience in GIS Domain within the Oil & Gas industry.
