The Senior Engineer is responsible for project designing, development and management with a focus on Casing Running Tools (CRT) and other pipe handling/hoisting equipment. In addition, the Senior Engineer will provide assistance to Manufacturing/Service by delivering complete design solution packages for manufacturing and technical support during the manufacturing process. The Senior Engineer may supervise, coach and/or train more junior level personnel within their department. What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring:
- Minimum 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of CRT related experience
- Knowledge of Engineering systems (AutoCAD, Solidworks or other 3D modeling)
- Oilfield related experience an asset
- Knowledge of API Specifications 8C and 7K
- Experience in a leadership capacity preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a timely fashion
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
- Design, develop, and detail drawings of parts, assemblies and tools
- Perform engineering design calculations to support tool design
- Specify materials and components for assemblies and tools
- Use computer drafting programs to generate two- and three- dimensional drawings of components
- Work as a team leader to design and develop assigned projects
- Provide technical assistance for Sales and the end customer
- Manage the production of designed parts and assemblies
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems
- Maintain assigned equipment and work area in accordance with procedures and standards
