Job Title: Senior Engineer Armament & Munitions Grade: 5

Location: Riyadh

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES For such maintenance and training, this role is responsible for supporting the Senior Weapons Advisor (SWA) for the following: Monitoring of the RSAF munitions surveillance and life extension programmes. Analysing munitions surveillance reports and providing summary reports to the OoA&M or the SWA as required. Providing explosive storage safety advice to the A&M section and assisting In the licensing of the RSAF explosive storage facilities, as required. Acting as the Training focal point for the CMS personnel employed within A&M. The development, coaching, and mentoring of Saudi Nationals, to grow their knowledge and capability, to accelerate Saudisation of the BAE Systems Air Sector (KSA) CMS workforce, and in doing so; supporting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 Strategy; Promoting a WOME Safety Culture and Awareness across the RSAF/CMS community Assisting and deputising for the SWA in his absence as required.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Have at least ONC or equivalent level in a technological discipline. Experience in the munitions and guided weapons maintenance environment. Successful completion of the Explosive Storage Area Managers' Course (ESAM), Member of the Institute of Explosive Engineers (or ability to work towards); Working knowledge of the relevant Civilian and Military requirements (JSP 482, 520, Firearms Act 1968 (as amended), Explosive Regulations 2014, RSAF Explosive Regulations); Thorough understanding of Munitions Supply Chain Management; Understanding of Military Logistic Support ideally in a KSA environment; The Job Holder ls required to be fully knowledgeable on Export Control Requirements and may be required to handle Export Controlled/lTAR Data; The job holder is required to interface directly with the RSAF at Senior Level Good man management and people development competencies; Management experience with proven ability to manage multi-disciplined staff together with engineering skillsets. Well-developed IT and communications skills, and the ability to work autonomously on behalf of the Senior Weapons Advisor (SWA), with little direct supervision
