Job Description

Landscape Engineer will be responsible for supervising of Hardscape and Softscape.
+ Supervising with contractors on all aspects of Hardscape and Softscape construction.
+ Hardscape, including exterior stonework (paving of roadways, pedestrian walkways and parking lots), cladding, GRC-artificial rockwork, wood decking, site furnishings, natural rock grouping.
+ Softscape, including plant material inspection (on site, at local nurseries and over-seas), on-site planting and associated landscape elements [soil mixing, levelling and capillary movement (drainage)].
+ Review and approval of shop drawings, materials samples, mock-ups etc. in connection with hardscape and softscape.
+ Onsite design modifications and implementation of additional Clients' requests.
+ Participating in the preparation of periodical progress report; Correspondence with client, project managers and contractors.
+ Co-ordinating and liaising with other sections of the Municipality and Gardens Directorate (workshop, nurseries, transportation department, etc...), contractors and other third parties as necessary for the progress of works.
+ Work proactively to resolve any problems or site issues as they occur in connection with hardscape and softscape.
+ Ensure that all resources of materials, manpower, and plant and equipment are available at all sites in a timely manner for proper progress of landscaping works.
+ Ensure that work at all sites is proceeding according to program and to the required standards, in accordance with approved designs and instructions issued.
+ Follow up the progress of all ongoing site work on a frequent basis to ensure timely and proper completion of site work.
+ Supervise the preparation of landscaping as-built drawings.
Minimum Requirements
+ 10 years experience overall
+ 5 years in the UAE
