Description Petrofac is looking to recruit a Senior Engineer-Mud/Cementing to be based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. - Responsible for the execution of the Drilling and Completion Fluids program and implementation of all Company HSEIA standards and policies at site.

- Directing contractor mud engineers, solids control engineers, and completion and testing supervisors at rig of the rig to execute the work as per the plan.
- Monitor daily progress and operations as per the plan. Plan for inventory and contingency controls and measures and shall also be responsible for inspection and acceptance of Drilling Fluid materials received at well site. He will issue work instructions for all service providers.
- Reporting to the Senior DSV at the site and the Drilling Superintendent.
- Should intervene and inform/instruct a suitable person in case of operational, HSE, or an administrative emergency in order to proactively work out a solution (lost circulation, stuck pipe , cementing, H2s etc
- Should possess a PG degree in chemistry / Graduate in Chemistry.
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a Mud Supervisor / Engineer in the E&P industry.
- Should have an in-depth understanding of lithology, rock and cutting properties, formation fracture & vugs and saline formation, borehole temperature etc.
- Skills/proficiency in the English language is essential.
