The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of port crane projects. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, as well as experience in the design, manufacturing, and project management of port cranes. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that port crane projects and manufactured products meet electrical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the department
Prepare cost estimates for the projects in cooperation with Engineers and Project Managers
Conduct design reviews of port equipment with respect to electrical and automation design and safety standards.
Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for port cranes and manufactured products projects.
Select and specify electrical components, including motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
Coordinate with mechanical engineers and other team members to ensure the integration of electrical systems into port crane designs.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for electrical issues related to port cranes.
Demonstrate knowledge of the port electrical infrastructure and the interface between port equipment.
Prepare electrical layouts, drawings, and schematics for reefer racks design, manufactured products, and upgrade projects.
Perform the following but not limited to
+ Support of product development in respective field
+ Assist the Principal Engineer in preparing the technical specifications and project estimations, liaise with subcontractors to prepare the offer.
+ Proficiency in the design of substation, switchgear, cable sizing and scheduling
+ Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
+ Thorough knowledge on the Electrical design standards
+ Assist in the Preparation of required method statements and risk assessments.
+ Preparation of technical inspection reports, and documentation of the projects during final handover with punch list works resource and cost allocation.
+ Ensure that the highest level of safety is applied in all WCS activities.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
+ Implement and monitor WCS' HSE compliance policy.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar works of designing
Experience of working in project teams on the supplier / OEM side
