A wonderful opportunity to join this prestigious Book Publishing House. Candidates must be native Arabic speakers with a successful track record working in book publishing. This role is based in Fujairah, and you must be prepared to reside there or nearby. You must have experience in working with history/culture books and have a strong understanding of good content.

Description:

• Ensure that the company vision, mission, and objectives are implemented properly to generate the intended cultural value
• Mange daily operation and resources for the Publishing House to ensure high standards cultural services are provided
• Responsible to guide all departments run smoothly in respect of content creation, designing, editing, marketing, etc. to ensure the highest quality of work and standards for the publications
• Ensure that all regulations and laws of the UAE related to Media and cultural are met
• Prepare yearly plan and budget for the Publishing House
• Coordinate all activities related to the creation of the House, i.e., concepts, logistics, initiative, events, etc.
• Maintain strategic relationships and network with partners such as writers, local and international cultural authorities
• Create a marketing strategy, including introduction of the Publishing House brand to local community, as well as promoting the same in terms of international publicity
• Work with Book Scouts to ensure the very best of books are brought to the Publishing House
• Manage and oversee the content produced for publications or websites
• Set the editorial guidelines and ensure that the tone of voice is aligned with the brand and Publishing House Vision and strategy
• Review the contents received by Publishing House and advice management on the quality of the work and suitability for publishing

Criteria:

• Must be able to fluently speak, read and write Arabic
• Must be prepared to reside in Fujairah or nearby
• A proven track record in Book Publishing
• Understanding of the history and culture of the UAE
• Passionate about books
