SENIOR DRAFTING TECHNICIAN CEAd, a Canadian based company, is currently recruiting a Senior Drafting Technician with AutoCAD experience to join our growing team in Dubai, UAE. This individual will report to the Director, Design & Drafting, based in our offices in Burlington, ON, Canada, and will be responsible for the following: MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Use their understanding of greenhouse structure, operations, and specialized computer software to prepare technical designs and drawings Interprets concepts and then uses a computer-aided design (CAD) to convert designs into technical drawings Revising and coordinating drawings Mentor and train junior team members Participate and initiate continuous improvement actions Other duties as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be able to accurately read and interpret Architectural, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings. Advanced knowledge in architectural drafting and experience with AutoCAD, drawings reading, and MS office Knowledge and experience with Revit, Piping and Mechanical drafting is essential Knowledge and experience with Sketchup, V-ray and Rendering is essential Computer proficiency in word processing and data management program Ability to plan, access situations and work independently Ability to think strategically and problem solve Ability to be part of a positive and productive team atmosphere Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations Ability to sort, retain, and analyze information Must have strong communication skills Experience as an informal leader would be an asset Ability to work under tight timelines and to balance multiple and varied projects at one time EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION College diploma or University degree in an architectural engineering technology program Minimum 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in architectural design/drafting preferred Background in civil engineering is considered an asset CEAd is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
