Team Summary

The People Business Partner (HRBP) team at Visa acts as a trusted advisor and business partner to members of the Corporate Functions (Marketing, Legal & Compliance, Government Engagement, Corporate Communications, Strategy, Finance and Social Impact) and operates as the expert on people and organizational issues. We are a team of commercially focused individuals that translate business objectives to talent priorities. We are comfortable navigating challenging forces in the dynamic payments space and can operate in a fast-paced environment with significant change. We work hand-in-hand with our COEs and internal counterparts for successful planning and delivery of HR programs and services to the business.

People Business Partner does at Visa:
People Business Partners work with teams, managers, and key stakeholders to shape and implement effective people strategies and activities within the organization. This includes, but is not limited to,
  • working closely with COEs partners and business leaders to deliver customised and forward-looking solutions and programs to solve business issues.
  • providing guidance and input on organizational design for a particular business unit
  • working with leadership to conduct talent reviews, create succession plans and customize development plans for key talent
  • managing complex and difficult projects and take a consultative approach and act as a key advisor to the leadership team.
  • offering performance management and coaching to leaders and employees alike
  • partner with finance and leadership to develop and maintain workforce planning

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership focused on a transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the industry
  • Understand business strategies and how to develop high impact human capital solutions
  • Have a data driven mindset to assess organizational metrics and provide insights to the business
  • Consistently measure effectiveness of People initiatives and programs to ensure they are delivering desired outcomes
  • Lead the People organization within client groups to develop and execute initiatives to become an Employer of Choice in the Technology industry.
  • Provide daily support to managers with employee attraction, development, and retention issues which may include:
    • Annual reviews
    • Leadership coaching
    • Career pathing
    • Advanced HR reporting and metrics
    • Special project assistance
  • Closely partners with People Centres of Excellences and other PBPs to deliver superior results to the business
  • Work with clients to create and manage a workforce plan and in partnership with Talent Acquisition
  • Serve as a role model and thought leader on People issues and coaches other PBPs in their development

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is required. An MBA or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, in a related field, is preferred
  • 12 - 15 plus years of experience in an innovative business. Preference for experience in the FinTech, Payments, Finance and/or Technology industry working in progressive HR models
  • Experience designing and delivering programs in the following areas:
o Workforce Planning
o Talent Management
o Change Management
o Leadership Development
o Employee Engagement
o Cultural Change
o Organizational Design
  • Ability to manage medium to enterprise-wide projects/initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
  • Experience in working effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Hands on approach willing to roll up sleeves to deliver results
  • Successful implementation of operational and strategic programs and processes across a dispersed region
  • Ability to assess an organization, identify gaps, and develop solutions
  • Possess strong influencing and interpersonal skills, sharpened in a demanding and high performing work environment
  • Have executive presence and strong communication skills to partner with senior levels of management
  • Strong collaboration skills within and outside of HR
