This position is located in our New York, NY, Austin, TX, offices or remote. The Senior DevOps Engineer works closely with engineering and cloud operations engineering staff to ensure that the applications and pipelines they build can scale, stay available, be secure, and handle failure. This Senior Engineer regularly demonstrates a mix of development, networking, infrastructure security, and system-administrations skills. The Senior DevOps Engineer works closely with developers, facilitating the development process by removing obstacles interfering with ongoing development. The Senior DevOps Engineer works with the engineering and AWS Operations teams in order to build secure, reliable, scalable infrastructure and meets business goals and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Analyze, define and architect robust infrastructure architecture and govern.Contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining team tooling.Research, strategize, and propose solutions that meet requirements, reduce friction for engineering teams, and consolidate existing solutions.Work closely with engineering teams to learn about needs, current processes, and to promote best practices.Document best practices, prescribed solutions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent work experience 5+ years' experience of Cloud OperationsExperience and good knowledge of Linux SystemsExperience in implementation of AWS Networking Elements (VPC, Routing, LoadBalancers, ...)Experience and good knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-code (using Teraform, Ansible, or similar tools/techniques)Experience in implementation of Container SolutionsExperience with AWS (CLI, API)Enhance the company's IT infrastructure security protocolsMaintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructureSolid programming and troubleshooting skillsStrong ability to clearly communicate complex information in writing and verbally to a variety of stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to prioritize and work in a complex environmentA team player who likes to work towards a common goalA passion for learning new skillsJob requires long periods of close concentration and ability to multitask in noisy/busy open-office environment.Must be able to travel occasionally, and work more than 40 hours a week, as needed.
