Senior Design Manager - Infrastructure

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Design Manager - Infrastructure to join our team! In this role you will get to work in a fast-paced design environment with a high performing team delivering a complex infrastructure project for a prestigious client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

What You\'ll Be Doing:

Manages and oversees design consultants to ensure that design work remains on schedule, within budget and expectations.

Coordinates design phase activities/deliverables with architects, engineers, sub-consultants, stakeholders, agencies, relevant authorities, tenants, etc. relative to the project infrastructure design.

Chairs and conducts design progress and coordination meetings, prepares agendas, coordinates presentation material and prepares meeting minutes for same.

Closely liaises with PMC Engineering Support, Design Managers, and/or Construction Managers of interfacing projects during deliverable reviews to ensure quality, completeness and expectations for design deliverable documentation.

Ensures timely issuance of multiple construction tender packages.

Coordinates constructability reviews, value engineering exercises and construction submittal reviews by consultants.

Reviews and provides input on variations and change orders relating to design.

Manages validation of record documents and post occupancy evaluations.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position during construction as required.

What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:

Degree in civil/electrical engineering from a reputable university

Minimum 15 years experience managing infrastructure design projects, preferably in Abu Dhabi

Proven, successful experience in coordination and facilitation of stakeholders, agencies and end-users requirements.

Further experience in infrastructure design within a masterplan is a plus.

Professional affiliation/ registration to relevant, internationally recognized authority

Intermediate to Advanced Skills in AutoCAD, MS Office 365, SharePoint, Civil 3D

Advanced communication skills in English required as the environment is an international and multicultural environment requiring an above average ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and employees from differing backgrounds with differing native languages.

What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:

Advanced (degree level) education in relevant discipline or equivalent

Managing/leading design to budget efforts and value engineering exercises.
