Position Overview
Senior Design Manager - Dubai, UAE will oversee the design scope of high-profile residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Acting as the client representative, the role ensures design quality, innovation, and functionality while aligning with budget, program, and commercial goals. Responsibilities include leading interior design efforts from concept to construction, coordinating with consultants and vendors, and ensuring projects meet corporate vision and user expectations.

What You'll Do

• Lead development of design concepts and detailed interiors for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
• Create project-specific design briefs aligned with business and market strategy
• Benchmark designs against market trends and embed sustainability and wellness principles
• Manage interior design scope from feasibility to construction, ensuring integration with architectural and engineering teams
• Coordinate with external consultants, FF&E suppliers, and contractors to maintain design intent
• Review and approve design documentation, finishes, materials, and mock-ups
• Conduct site visits to verify design implementation and resolve challenges
• Serve as primary contact for stakeholders on design-related matters
• Ensure compliance with codes, local regulations, and sustainability standards
• Support procurement with material specifications and vendor evaluations
• Participate in value engineering sessions and align design with budget requirements
• Keep abreast of emerging design trends, materials, and technologies

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture (Master's preferred)
• 15+ years of interior design experience with strong client-side exposure
• Proven record managing design for large-scale residential, commercial, or hospitality projects
• Familiarity with sustainability standards such as LEED or WELL
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of FF&E, finishes, materials, and space planning
• Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills
• Experience collaborating with hotel operators, luxury brands, or retail tenants is advantageous
