- Senior Design Engineer (Electrical)

Role Purpose:

To lead and oversee the design, review, and development of electrical systems for large-scale projects, ensuring compliance with authority regulations (ADDC/DEWA) and international standards. The role demands strong technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to deliver high-quality engineering solutions within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical design activities from concept to detailed design, including drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with ADDC, DEWA, and other local authority regulations*, codes, and standards.

Perform load calculations, fault level analysis, cable sizing, protection coordination, and power system studiesusing industry-standard software (E-Tab preferred).
Review and approve electrical design documents, shop drawings, and material submittals.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authority representatives for approvals and NOCs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
Support project execution teams with design clarifications, site coordination, and inspections.
Prepare reports, design notes, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).
Minimum 10 years of experiencein electrical design within the UAE/GCC region.
Strong knowledge of ADDC/DEWA authority requirements and approval processes*.

Proficiency in E-Tab (ETAP)and other design software tools for electrical calculations.
Excellent project coordination and documentation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Competencies:

Authority liaison and experience in securing approvals (ADDC , DEWA etc).
Exposure to mission-critical facilities and high-reliability electrical design.
Leadership skills with the ability to guide a design team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
