Our client is a leading solar PV developer and EPC, specializing in commercial and industrial solar projects. They are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Lead detailed engineering design workstreams and manage other design engineers/draftsmen
Supervise the production of high-quality detailed design drawings (electrical, mechanical, and civil), including reviewing and providing detailed feedback on draft deliverables
Perform and check all required electrical engineering calculations, including sizing of PV systems, ESS, inverters, switchgear, cables, and strings
Evaluate different technology, component, and supplier options
Ensure designs are compliant with relevant regulations, standards, and codes
Optimize designs for performance, cost, and constructability
Develop and maintain internal design styles, standards, and templates
Build and develop supplier relationships
Provide technical support to business development, installation, and O&M teams
Requirements:
4-6 years of solar PV design experience at the C&I scale, ideally including some hybrid/ESS systems
8+ years of experience in relevant industries
Degree in electrical/power systems engineering
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering to high standards
Expert knowledge of core software packages such as AutoCAD and PVsyst
Good existing knowledge of industry best practice and international standards
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
