An Asset Management start-up backed by a prominent Investment firm in Abu Dhabi, is looking for a Data Specialist to join their team in the The Human Capital (HC) Rewards and Analytics function, which is responsible for the development and implementation of the company\xe2\x80\x99s rewards framework and people-focused data and analytics capabilities. The team leverages technology, data, and insights to provide quality user experiences to employees and bring clarity to strategic and operational decisions for leaders and investment groups across the business to help the company achieve its objectives and deliver long-term value in rapidly evolving markets.

The specialist will develop solutions to expand Human Capital\xe2\x80\x99s on-demand analytics portfolio and be responsible for building reports and automations using modern approaches and tools, and will be given the opportunity to produce pipelines, leadership-facing dashboards, and bespoke products from the ground up. You will partner closely with leaders in Human Capital, operations, and investment groups to help them solve their most important talent challenges with a focus on creating business value.

The specialist will also help conduct research projects involving performance and compensation data and work with the team and senior stakeholders to develop strategies for improving HC\xe2\x80\x99s compensation processes as well as execute on those strategies, with a key objective being to continuously align rewards with performance and enable data-driven interventions and decision-making with respect to human capital and organizational strategy. You will have the opportunity to glean insights from a variety of complex internal and external data sources, work directly with the investment business to support compensation decisions, and build analytical tools to make performance and compensation information easier to consume for leaders across the firm.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the team to design, continuously improve, and deliver a seamless Rewards process and service across the company, leveraging research and technology to drive a performance management system aligned with business goals and strategy
  • Partner closely with leaders in Human Capital (HC), business operations, and investment groups to help them solve their most important HC-related challenges, and proactively identify opportunities and create proofs-of-concept
  • Provide timely and astute analyses to business leaders, enabling them to make data-informed decisions about their people, especially with respect to performance and compensation
  • Collaborate with the wider team to analyse people metrics, identifying trends and issues across the full employee lifecycle and devising proactive strategies to address them
  • Seek opportunities to automate and simplify Human Capital processes, systems, and ways of working
  • Utilise and make updates to a modern, scalable, and secure human capital data lake and analytics platform
  • Assist in change management initiatives, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a compensation/rewards, data science, or business analytics setting, ideally including some experience with the financial services industry
  • The ability to package insights from data, weave them together into a compelling narrative, and develop analytical tools and reporting products for an executive audience (including data visualization best practices) is a must
  • A willingness to dive into details, collaborate effectively with teammates across multiple initiatives, and drive projects to completion is essential, as is the ability to exercise utmost discretion with confidential information
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and consulting skills with a commercial mindset. People analytics experience is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in using Python and/or SQL for data transformation, analysis, and interactive dashboard design. An advanced working knowledge of Excel is also desired
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps) is preferred but not required
