: Minimum 2-3 years in building materials retail sales
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Counter Sales Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales within the building materials sector. You will be responsible for assisting walk-in customers, handle our key-clients, generating sales, following the payment, providing technical information, and ensuring excellent customer service at the counter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers at the sales counter in a professional and friendly manner
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable building materials
- Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales orders, and purchase orders
- Handle payments and maintain accurate billing records
- Provide technical knowledge about products (cement boards, gypsum, plywood, hardware, etc.)
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams for order dispatch
- Build and maintain relationships with regular customers
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and market trends
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in counter sales in building materials
- Strong knowledge of construction and building materials
- Good communication skills in English, Hindi (Arabic/Malayalam is a plus)
