- Position: Senior Cost Controller
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and project management, with a proven track record of successfully controlling costs and managing budgets for large-scale projects. The Senior Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Develop and maintain project budgets, including cost estimates, forecasts, and actual costs
- - Monitor project expenses and identify any variances from the budget
- - Work closely with project managers to ensure that all costs are accurately tracked and reported
- - Analyze project data and provide regular reports to management on project financial performance
- - Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for improvement
- - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to cost control
- - Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage vendor contracts and invoices
- - Participate in project planning and provide input on cost-related matters
- - Mentor and train junior cost control staff
- - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- - Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the construction industry
- - Strong understanding of project management methodologies and cost control principles
- - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial management software
- - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- - Proven leadership and team management experience
- - Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- - Knowledge of Arabic is a plus
